3D product rendering and animation

Rendering is useful in two situations: the product is not manufactured yet, or you need angles, colourways, and exploded views that would be impractical to photograph. Once the model is built, additional variants are comparatively cheap — which is the main economic argument for it over photography on a large range.

Common questions

Do you need CAD files?
They make it faster and more accurate. Without CAD we model from dimensioned drawings or reference photography, which takes longer.
Can renders sit alongside real photography?
Yes — matching lighting and lens characteristics to existing photography is a normal request. Send the photography you need it to match with the brief.
